About Emily Gill, School Counselor
Mrs. Gill is a native of Marietta, Georgia but has called Murfreesboro home since 2001, except for three years in upstate South Carolina. Mrs. Gill loves spending time with her husband and kids; their daughter is in high school, and their son is in elementary school. She also enjoys time with family, friends, and church friends who are like family. She loves to travel, shop, see a movie or play, and visit the softball batting cage.
About Dr. Harrell, School Counselor
Dr. Harrell is the lower grade School Counselor at Thurman Francis. She is passionate about helping students be successful in and outside of the classroom. This is Dr. Harrell’s fourth year as a School Counselor, and her first year at Thurman Francis Arts Academy.
In 2014, Dr. Harrell earned an undergraduate degree in Music from Florida A&M University. In 2020, Dr. Harrell graduated from Vanderbilt University with a master's degree in human development counseling, with a license in Professional School Counseling. Before working in Rutherford County Schools, Dr. Harrell was a School Counselor in Davidson County. In May of 2024, Dr. Harrell received her Doctor of Education from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Dr. Harrell is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys singing, traveling, and shopping.
