My name is Chaz Carothers and I'm the sixth grade social studies teacher at Thurman Francis Arts Academy. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Tennessee State University, where I received my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as my master's degree in Education (K-6). I also received my gifted education certification from Vanderbilt University. This is my 13th year of teaching.
I have an eight-year-old son named Vincent who shines brighter than the morning sun! He is my absolute heart, and he is very excited to start third grade this year! Some of my hobbies include skating, knitting, and solving puzzles. I cannot wait to see what this school year will bring!
