Parent Information
Dear Parents,
I would like to take the time to welcome you to First Grade! I am very eager to be a part of your child’s learning experience. This is my 15th year in education. I am very excited to be your child’s first grade teacher this year.
I am married and have 2 kids. Ariana is a 6th grader and Luke is a kindergartener at TFAA this year.
As your child’s teacher, it is important to keep an open line of communication. Research shows that parental involvement in schooling is a positive tool that helps children stay motivated as they are learning. If at any time you would like to speak with me please do not hesitate to call the school, write a note in the TAKE HOME FOLDER (not the agenda), send an e-mail, or use Class Dojo. Scheduled conferences will begin in October. If during the school year concerns arise, please let me know.
As we progress throughout the year, please take the time to check class dojo every day to be informed of activities and student behavior. Also, please check your child’s book bag daily for important papers. An excellent way to keep updated on skills being taught is to complete the weekly homework activities with your child. Your excitement for learning will extend to your little one!
I look forward to spending a wonderful year with you and your child! If you need anything, please call. The school number is 615-459-7710. My e-mail address is [email protected].
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gonzalez
