About me

I am excited to teach 3rd grade at TFAA again this year!  This is my 23nd year in education, all in the Rutherford County Schools.  During this time, I have taught various grade levels, worked as an Interventionist, and been an Instructional Coach.  I have also worked for the Tennessee Department of Education with state standards and TCAP testing during the last several summers. 

 

My husband, Johnny, and I have been married for 29 years.  We have two children...Hunter, age 26 and Hannah, age 20.  Hunter and his wife, Ashlyn, work at Vanderbilt Hospital.  They have our first grandbaby, Sutton!  We also have two dogs...Gunner, a Newfoundland, and Ruger, a Chow.  We enjoy playing outdoors, riding 4 wheelers, and watching movies.  

 

I can't wait to share this school year with my students!  Whatever changes and new experiences are to come, we'll only learn and grow.  We're all in this together!
