What we're learning...

Week of 3/18

ELA: This week, we are comparing similar texts. These include diverse iterations of Little Red Riding Hood, a familiar tale told in different ways. We are also using these texts to study author's purpose and point of view along with reviewing story structure. We are also working on creating procedural texts, being specific about the steps in doing or creating something successfully.

Math: we will complete our measurement module this week. We are relating inches and centimeters to a number line, solidifying vocabulary, and deciding which unit makes the most sense for efficiency and accuracy. We will take that module test on Friday.

Social Studies: we are learning about the three branches of the U.S. government, their roles in our lives, and notable members of all three.
