As announced this summer, Rutherford County Schools has launched two new technology tools that will simplify how parents receive information and how they interact with their teachers and coaches to learn about their student’s academics, school announcements, and extra-curricular activities.

The first one is ParentVue by Synergy, and this will be used to see your student’s academic information, including report cards, daily grades, missing assignments, class schedules, etc. It is similar to Skyward that we used last year, but it is much more mobile and user friendly. The companion is called StudentVue and contain similar information for students.

The second app, and perhaps the most important, is MyRCS. Search for “Rutherford County Schools” in your app store, and download it for free.

The MyRCS app will be used by parents to receive messages and interact with your school, teachers, coaches, or band directors depending on the activities students are involved in. This is the sole communication platform we are using for this type of communication this year. It replaces platforms such as ClassDojo, Remind, Band or any others as parents have asked for a one-stop source for school information.

Once downloaded, you can select which schools your children attend to receive a live feed of news items from those schools. By adjusting your preferences, written messages families receive are translated automatically into your preferred language. You can also get interact directly teachers and coaches using a featured called “Rooms,” which is a secure two-way communication tool.

Rooms launches Monday and Parents will receive an email or text message inviting them to join their teacher’s or coach’s Room. If you don’t get the email or text, that’s ok. Beginning Monday evening you can visit the Rooms section of the app, or use the login button on your school’s website.

For your login, all you need to enter is the cell phone number you have on file with your school or your email address. You should then receive an access code, and you will be logged in.

For a quick overview of how the platform works, watch this short video introduction. If you have questions or need assistance, visit our Rooms Resources webpage. Links to download the apps are available here.

Rutherford County Schools is excited to offer these communication tools for parents and students. We want to ensure everyone stays informed about their students and schools. Thanks again for your patience and cooperation as we settle in to a new school year.

TFAA Faculty 2026-2027
A huge shoutout to Coach Zurawski for organizing an incredible TFAA tennis clinic featuring former professional tennis player and BYU tennis head coach Brad Pearce!
Our players had an amazing opportunity to learn from such an accomplished athlete, gaining valuable insights both on and off the court. Mr. Pearce also took time to sign copies of his book, Life Lessons from Centre Court at Wimbledon: Teaching Your Children to Become the Best They Can Be, making the experience even more memorable.
Thank you for investing in our tennis program and creating such an inspiring and impactful experience for our team! That truly shows #theHeARTofExcellence

Exciting news! Thurman Francis Arts Academy and Rutherford County Schools are making it easier than ever to stay informed by bringing all school communication together in one convenient app.

Our new communication app includes the direct messaging and easy access you've come to rely on from ClassDojo, along with exciting new features designed to keep you connected with your student's school experience.

To ensure a smooth transition, TFAA will continue using ClassDojo in conjunction with the new app through August 14 while families have time to download and set up the new app. Beginning August 15, all school and Rutherford County Schools communication will be sent exclusively through the new app.

We encourage every family to download the app as soon as possible so you don't miss important announcements, reminders, classroom updates, and district news. Stay connected—we can't wait for you to experience this new and improved way to communicate with TFAA! #theHeARTofExcellence

The app is available in both the App Store for Apple and Play for Android users.

Today we’re celebrating Administrative Professionals Day and the incredible women who keep TFAA running like a well-oiled (and very busy!) machine!

A huge thank you to Mrs. Tomi Benton, our Attendance Secretary, Mrs. Dana Smith, our Bookkeeper, and Mrs. Erica Leming, our School Secretary. From greeting families with a smile, to keeping us organized, to paying the bills on time, to handling the countless details that keep our school day on track - they truly do it all.

They are the friendly faces, the problem-solvers, the behind-the-scenes heroes, and often the calm in the middle of the chaos. Simply put…our school wouldn't run without them!

Thank you for being such an essential part of our Ramily and for helping keep #theHeARTofExcellence beating strong every single day! 🐏💙💛
