About Me

Meet your teacher...

I have been teaching for 18 years, all in third grade. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, both from Trevecca University. This will be my 8th year at Thurman Francis Arts Academy. I love that each school year allows me to help my students develop a love of learning while challenging them to reach their personal best.

I am married for 20 years to Daniel, and have two children, Kristin and Cade, ages 15 and 9 respectively. Our family loves to travel, especially to the beach, but we also enjoy a quiet weekend at home.

I love to read and learn new things, and I always hope that my enthusiasm for learning trickles into my classroom. With third grade being such an important year in school, it is my hope that my love of learning will inspire my students to love learning as well.
